What is the CDA ?
The Chinese Dermatologist Association (CDA), established in 2005, represents 20,000 Chinese dermatologists. As a leading national association operating under the Medical Practitioners Act 1999, it advocates for improved dermatologic healthcare and provides community leadership. Its core mission is to uphold professional ethics, advance medical knowledge and services, and protect physician rights to enhance national health.
The annual conferences of the CDA are major gatherings in the field of dermatology, characterized by their extensive scale, high academic rigor, and broad coverage of dermatological advancements. These scientific meetings typically attract thousands of participants, including dermatologists, researchers, and medical professionals from various sub-disciplines, both within China and internationally. In 2025, the CDA conference was held in Chongqing on November 8th.
Helena Rubinstein’s presence at CDA annual conference
At the CDA Congress, Prof. Li Li endorsed Helena Rubinstein’s scientific results in a conference entitled "Clinical Study on Pro-xylaneTM with Synergistic Micro-Focused Ultrasound for Facial Contour Improvement".
Prof. Li Li is a CDA member working at West China Hospital, Sichuan University.
She is a distinguished expert in dermatology and cosmetic science. Her extensive experience includes directing major cosmetic evaluation centers and laboratories under the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), specializing in human cosmetics evaluation, big data, and regulatory testing. Additionally, she chairs and vice-chairs several prominent medical and cosmetic associations, focusing on chronic skin diseases, anti-ageing, functional cosmetics, and aesthetic medicine.
The synergy with Micro-focused ultrasound (MFU)
Micro-focused ultrasound (MFU) is a non-invasive aesthetic procedure that lifts and tightens skin. It works by delivering precise ultrasonic waves to specific skin depths, causing immediate collagen contracture and initiating neocollagenesis and remodeling for gradual lifting and tightening.
Professor Li Li highlighted the synergistic effects of a specialized repair cream, containing the market's highest concentration of Pro-Xylane™ (hydroxypropyl tetrahydropirantriol) in a unique inverse emulsion, and Micro-focused Ultrasounds (MFU). She opened her presentation by detailing the specific characteristics of Helena Rubinstein's hydroxypropyl tetrahydropirantriol, emphasizing its unique purity and superior efficacy when compared to other similar molecules on the market.
She then explained that the bandage cream significantly enhances the active ingredient's penetration into the skin. The repair cream, when used alone, has been proven to repair skin across five key biological dimensions and activate most collagens*. Furthermore, Professor Li Li demonstrated how combining this bandage cream with MFU aesthetic procedures amplifies lifting, tightening of facial countours, and wrinkles reduction, ultimately achieving a superior "biological facelift”:
- +20.14% cheekbone firmness (vs 9.29 % for MFU + neutral cream)**
- +25.61% elasticity ( vs 13.95% for MFU + neutral cream)**
- +19,0% smoothness (vs +9% for MFU + neutral cream)**
*Ex vivo study on human skin explants, in basal conditions and post-laser treatment (Non-ablative fractional laser)
**Test on 44 persons in the Hospital of Sichuan University (Chengdu - China) - After 2 days of pre-treatment + 1 session of PENINSULA® and 42 days of post-treatment
Outstanding endorsement of our results
At the end of the conference, a survey was sent to the skin experts attending the conference.
Results showed how convincing Helena Rubinstein’s Pro-XylaneTM efficacy is:
- 98% of skin experts agree that Pro-XylaneTM can activate cells and promote the production of extracellular matrix components such as collagen, glycosaminoglycans and integrins
- 97% agree that products containing a high concentration of Pro-XylaneTM can support and enhance the post procedure repair process following specialized aesthetic treatments.
- 97% agree that a cream containing a high concentration of Pro-XylaneTM, when used in combination with micro-focused ultrasound treatment, can effectively improve visible signs of aging
- 95% would recommend to patients to use a cream containing a high concentration of Pro-XylaneTM after specialized aesthetic procedures.
